Douglas; Thank you so much, I am trying to educate myself because I for one do not want to leave out the early black settlers. I have attempted to help some of my friends at work with their genealogy and could not believe how little information is out there. I was first alerted to this situation when I found some of my own ancestors involved in the anti-slavery movement in the area. Now that my responsibility is not just my family but the County I want to get as much information as possible out there. I am new at being a County coordinator.(3 months) The explanation that was with the transcription seemed to be leaving something out so I wanted to know the facts. Again Thank You.
