Checked out Henry Bibby's bio. He was born in Franklin County, North Carolina. Then I found a link to Paul Heineggs site and saw a 19th century photograph of a Bibby family in that same area. All of them were racially mixed from the photo. Mike Bibby and his father Henry Bibby appearance is of someone who has racially mixed ancestry. So there probarly is a connection. The history of free people of color is so interesting. I have fpoc ancestors from Louisiana.
