I came across your post online while trying to find info about my family. I was named after my great grandfather James B. Titus. I was told that he was in World War 1 and he used to play taps at night. I was recently told that there is a dedication to one of my relatives in a library in Canton. My grandmothers name was Ruth Maxine Titus, does that ring a bell? I really hope we are talking about the same people. I grew up in New York but my parents are from Ohio. We lived in PA for a while and my dad used to tell me a story about one of my relatives that walked from Stroudsburg PA to Ohio. I believe his name was George.
