I read an interesting and very informative book today. It talked extensively about the norms of FPOC that it defines as the mixed race people. According to the book and I know inreal life in South Carolina and Louisiana did not associate with the, so called, lower class blacks which were either darker or slaves. I profiles the history or the Harleston family of Charleston, S.C. and sheds a lot of light of the racial conditions of the place.Title "The Sweet Hell Inside" by Edward Ball. It speaks of the Jenkins family and the Mickey family and also touches on several other persons on distinction from or in Charleston.
