this is a bit off topic. But my uncle Mose Strong was the son of a James Grinnage/Grinage/Grinedge. Mose subsequently changed his surname to Strong, but that is another story.

Mose was born in 1887 to my Grandmother, Annie and the above named James in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Does your line have any ties to Alabama? This is an unsual name and I have found very litte on them.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
