I am a Hickey. My GG Grandfather was Charles S. Hickey of Albany, New York. What brought him to Greene County, Pennsylvania is a mystery for now, as is trying to locate him or his family in New York. Charles was a barber and was a Mason and was Trustee of Bethel A.M.E. Church. He married Elizabeth Ferrell, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Stewart) Ferrell. He also, at one time, owned the building in Waynesburg that was the old log courthouse of the County Seat. That building has been restored and an addition to it is the home of Cornerstone Genealogical Society. A Great Uncle, Asa Davison, is connected to the Bolwby Public Library in Waynesburg as he lived with the Bowlby family in the house that became the library. I am also connected to the Thomas Hughes Reading Center, Jefferson, PA, for my GGG Grandfather Daniel Ferrell was the slave of T. Hughes, and no doubt helped build the Hughes House, now a Reading Center. Looking for cousins.
