I am a Stewart of Greene County, Pennsylvania. My GGG Grandmother, Mary Stewart, married Daniel Ferrell and lived in Jefferson Township, Jefferson, Greene Co., PA. Daniel was the former slave of Thomas Hughes. Esq and is listed in the will of Mr. Hughes as "a man of color". I have no information on Mary Stewart before her mariage to Daniel. There were other Stewarts in the county and she could well have been one of them but to date, I am not sure. Looking for long lost cousins.
