1777/05 During the American Revolutionary War Adam ADAMS n=abt.1763
was a free man of color who enlisted as a Private in Capt. Henry GAITHER's Company
of the the 1st Maryland Regiment commanded by General William SMALLWOOD.

1783/11 He was duly discharged from the military.

1790 Census of MD,Charles-Co with 2 "other free";
1800 Census of MD,Charles-Co with 2 "other free" p551;

1818/03/28 He made military pension declaration with certificate#327 in MD,Charles-Co court.

1820/06/05 @57 He made military pension application #S34623 in MD,Charles-Co court.
