Hi Paul
I am interested in the ADAMS family from Maryland. If I understand
you correctly, then Mary ADAMS was wife to William & mother of John?
The William CALVERT of that record was the son of
Leonard CALVERT occ=first Governor of Maryland.
Leonard d=@37 & this young William was under the gueardianship of
Leonard's brother Cecil CALVERT occ=second Lord Baltimore.
This William's grandfather was George CALVERT,
who was the first Lord Baltimore & the first proprietor
of the land which would become the state of Maryland.

There is a book about the CALVERT family & their slaves,
which I have not been able to track down near me
... perhaps someone else is interested in this ?
