Don't give up hope. I ran across another transcription on the web for a Certificate of Freedom that was part of the Georgia Legislative records which led me to a copy of a copy of the original certificate of freedom. That took several years my brother.

Also, keep googling (if that is a word), I ran across the same free family in Illinois listed in court documents that had been recently put on the web.
