You're welcome. Are you looking for free registers for people in Cumberland County, NC? If so, I've been searching for them too, but have yet to find them. Several years ago I visited the NC State Archives and searched for them, but could only find a few emancipation records. The few records I could find on Cumberland County people were dispersed throughout the court records, and I didn't get a chance to thoroughly search through them.

This is just to say that those records may exist, but I couldn't tell you where. William? Byrd published freedom records, but I don't think he published anything from Cumberland County. It may very well be that he also searched, but couldn't find anything. As mentioned in my previous post, Paul Heinegg has references to FPOC in Cumberland County, but I don't think he found any free registers, but rather, mention of FPOC in the records.
