Ancestry.com has basically taken over the genealogy market through all of their aquisitions, so we are stuck with them as the kingpin of websites. On the plus side, it does make it more convenient to have everything available on one site, and one has to admit that they have done a great job of their new additions. Unfortunately, with the price of their normal subscription, one finds that it is out of the reach of many people. However, when one looks around, you can find the site available for greatly discounted rates, which they do from time to time.
