I noticed your Goins given name was Lawson...My 5th g-grandfather, Phillip Goins/Goens/Gowen was married to Lichaun Lawson who was born somewhere in VA, and they had a daughter Jennie born in SC in 1796..Phillip later married my 5th g-grandmother Oti, a Choctaw Indian...I am wondering if you know of having a Lawson surname among your family lines...The given name of your ancestor being Lawson is a pretty good indicator that he was related to the Lawson line..maybe his mother's maiden name? Any info will be appreciated..
