Hello,
I am searching for the parents of my third great grandfather, Thomas West.
These are the known facts about Thomas: He was born in Virginia, possibly Pittsylvania co.
He married Susannah Barnhill abt. 1818-1820 in Cuyahoga co. Ohio.He owned a farm in Cuyahoga county, and died there 7 May 1860.
Thomas and Susannah had 10 children, the first being Enos West.

Thomas was a freed person of color, and is listed in the book Free Negro Heads of Families In The United States in 1830 by Carter G. Woodson, Ph.D
He is also listed as a mulatto in the 1850 census.

Any help on where I should go next in finding Thomas's parents would be greatly appreciated.
