Have you also visited the Charles City Center's website at www.charlescity.org? There is a drop down menu There where you will find a link to the African American resouces that are available on the website. One of these is a listing of Free People of Color registry which shows those register until the year 1864. Many Fields are listed including Littleberry. Quote:

That it appears to the satisfaction of the Court by the testimony of Peter Crew, that Elizabeth Field, wife of Littleberry Field, who was Elizabeth Thomas, a bright mulatto was 23 years old the 23d of March last, 5 feet 6 ½ inches high, scar on the left arm & a small one on the right arm near the wrist, born free in this County.
