() My g grandmother was Delila/sometimes misspelled Delia CHINN and she married JAMES EDWARD CLARK in Rappahannock. He was a blacksmith and so was his father, THOMAS and his grandfather, Benjamin. She was out of the house when the Census was completed in Rappahannock. You will see her listed with EDWARD CLARK in 1880. ELIZABETH CHINN was absolutely her mother.
Her father has not appeared in the Rappahannock Census to my knowledge and if you visit the BRICK WALL Research FORUM search, you will see how I have searched for WILLIAM. I do have the marriage certificate for Delila and James Edward CLARK listing Elizabeth CHINN as her mother and WILLIAM CHINN as her father. The Brick Wall Forum explains the rest. Yes, the childrren were listed as MU, except for one child and ELIZABETH CHINN was listed in 1900 as C for Chinese/Colored in Pittsburgh according to Ancestry. She was living in Pittsburgh with one of her other daughters ~ MINNIE. In Rappahannock there were CHINN/CHUNN/CHEN families and they were probably, according to two reseachers in Rappahannock, one family. Grason was the STEP FATHER of ELIZABETH CHINN. Her mother was SALLIE Unknown GRASON. As far as the REDWIN?(that is the name thatI clicked on to see her listed at Heritage Quest) connection, I am just posting the information that I have. I have no idea if it is a typo, I just posted what I saw. On the census record that I am looking at for the 1900 Census in Pittsburgh, BELL is listed as the sister in law of JAMES CLARK.
