I haven't seen REDWIN used for REDMAN before.
Was it on the census that you saw that ?
I looked at some of the census & didn't see it there.
I did see that the mother of Bell I. CHINN was Elizabeth CHINN.
Not sure who Elizabeth's husband was & there may have been more than one because
most of Elizabeth's children were "mulatto", but one was listed as "black".
On one of the census Elizabeth has in her household, her "step-father" Joseph GRASON, Sr.
> she was the sister of DELILA CHINN CLARK.
None of the census I saw, mentioned anything similar to a Delia living with Elizabeth.
It looks like Delia married CLARK at 27 years old,
so I wonder if Delia had another marriage prior to CLARK ?
There don't seem to be that many CHINNs in VA,Rappahannock-Co
but lots of them in VA,Lancaster-Co.
