There is a book that was put out called BLACK AND FREE the Free Negro in America, 1830. Doubting Thomas Publishing in Sylvania Ohio publish it. What they did was put everything that was in the Carter Woodson book and called it BLACK AND FREE. I have a copy of that book, and I will check for you to see if I can find it in my area. It was edited by Alan Abrams. I don't know if Doubting Thomas Publishing is still in business.
