Your map for 1810 is very interesting. At first I wondered why there were few FPOC in Florida. But then I remembered that Florida was still part of Spain so perhaps the numbers were understated. However, when I look further west to Louisiana, the numbers are significant.
Louisiana especially New Orleans had a large influx of refugees from Santo Domingo and other parts of the Caribbean. This added to the existing FPOC population.
I've always contested these numbers, including the 1860 populations. Has anyone ever refuted these numbers?
