Hi Denise, My GGGGrandfather was Richmond Tate born in GA in 1825 (1870 census). He lived in SC (1880 census) The rest of my Tate relatives lived in Anderson, SC or around that area until my grandfather John Henry Tate moved to DC around 1920. Richmond Tate's parents were from VA, but I don't know what part.
