Nicole, No, I don't know the parents of Isaac Clifford who married Judy Lewis in 1796, Hardy Co., VA. I'm certain that he came to Hardy Co. from New Jersey, but I don't yet know the circumstances of that move or who he came with. Isaac Clifford and Judy Lewis had maybe as many as 12 children. I can name 9 of them from deed records in Hardy Co.: Abraham, Isaac, David, John, Jacob, Rebecca, Tabitha, Eliza, Mary Jane. Judy and all of the above named children moved from Hardy Co., VA to Crawford Co., PA very soon after Isaac's death in 1831. Jacob remained behind in Hardy Co. and sold the remainder of his father's land with a power of attorney from his mother and siblings. Jacob left Hardy Co. a few years later, moving to Greene Co., PA where he appears in the 1840 census. If there were more children than the above named 9, then by the early 1830's they were either dead and without heirs, or they had moved out of the area where no one knew how to contact them. All of Isaac Clifford's living heirs should have signed the power of attorney to Jacob Clifford for the sale of the assets in Isaac Clifford's estate. Hope this helps,
