Hello,

A 3rd great-grandmother Elizabeth "Betsy" Walden (1825-1874) marr. Peter Allen (1820-1877) on 4 Aug 1842 in Chillicothe, Ross County, OH.

Known children of Peter & "Betsy" are James Allen (abt 1850-????), Alexander Allen (abt 1855-????) and my 2nd great-grandmother Lovina "Vina" Allen (1857-1928). All were born in or around Circleville, in Pickaway County, OH.

I think (?) Betsy's parents were a John Walden & Mary Elizabeth Doty who were married 8 May 1823, also in Chillicothe, Ross County, OH.

The Allen's, Doty's & Walden's all are reported to have North Carolina origins.

I am seeking additional documentation for these family lines, if any of this "rings a bell" with anyone I have more information to share.
