Re: George Bolard, mulatto libre native of boston
In Response To: Re: George Bolard, mulatto libre native of boston ()
I noticed that about the louisiana immigration record of 1785 compared to the 1780 transactions. Actually the George Boulard, free mulatto of Boston, was married in 1779 to my ancestor, Marie Jeanne, mulatto in Opelousas. I found this in the colonial records of St. Landry Parish. I also found deals involving George Boulard, mulatto in the archives up to 1806 in Opelousas. So I think that these are two Boulards. The one from 1785 might be white. I also find George Boulard, mulatto in a special census of Opelousas done in 1791 I believe. He's next door to Martin Donato, his stepson.
