Mrs. Anne Elizabeth (CHANCELLOR) FIDDLER
m=Frederick Douglas ISAACS, Sr. who was a free person of color.
He was the son of Tucker ISAACS, Sr. (1809-1874)
& (Anne=Anna) Elizabeth=Betsey FOSSETT (1812-1902)
Betsy FOSSETT was the daughter of Joseph=Joe & Edith=Edy FOSSETT.
Joe FOSSETT was the son of Mary Frances HEMINGS n=1753
who was a slave of the former American President Thomas JEFFERSON.

The Tucker ISAACS, Sr. that I mentioned above also had a sister
Julia Ann ISAACS (1814-1889) m=14 Jun 1832 VA,Albermarle-Co to
Eston John HEMINGS (1808-1856).
This last one was the son of the now famous JEFFERSON slave Sally HEMINGS.

There is a Tucker ISAACS listed in the Cincinnati, OH City Directory--1842 (Colored Section).

Tucker Isacs resides on Elm St. between 15th St. & Northern Row. and is listed as a Laborer.

In addition to the connections between Hardy Co.,VA, & Green Co.,PA some of these surnames mentioned....REDMAN, LETT & CHANCELLOR may also be found in several Ohio counties during the period from the 1830's forward.... Athens, Muskingum, Ross & Shelby counties to name a few.
