Check the web site noted below for vital records of some West Virginia counties. Query the marriage records for Redman and you'll find that Daniel W. Redman was married more than once and that Henrietta Johnson was probably the mother of Donald M. Redman, the musician. Hard to know why Henrietta's death record notes her father as John Walker and her marriage record gives the names of her parents as J.W. and Lucy Johnson. We do know she was present to give the names of her parents when the marriage license was taken out at the courthouse. Perhaps the death record was an error.
