I looked at an abstraction of Ambrose Lewis's pension file information and compared that to what Heritage Quest offers online. There appears to be more information in his file than is offered by the 'selected records' Heritage Quest displays online. If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend that you order a photocopy of Ambrose Lewis's full Rev War pension file from the National Archives. There may be some clues in the file to help you identify his children.
