Hi. I am have recently started researching these names. My ggggrandfather was John Wesley Peay. He was born on Feb 12, 1866 in Winnsboro SC. He was the son of Ruben and Harriet Steward Peay. He married Amanda Heath from Winnsboro SC. They had two children: Jerry(which is my gggrandfather) and Mamie Lee Peay (his sister). Jerry married Fannie Barnett. I beleive that Fannie was from NC. The family settled in Franklylte farm near Huntersville NC.
