I am trying to find some missing links to my families history. My great grandmothers name was Mary Lee Guthrie. She was born around 1890 and was a freed slave in halifax county va. she married a man whose last name was garrett and later moved to Sparrows Point Maryland. My father was Vinnie. I am trying to find any missing links possible. My father is decreased but his mother Mary Ella Garrett is alive cannot recall the families history. I am trying to find any local plantations or homesites where previous or current family members are located .
