Ennemond Meuillon a Revolutionary Patriot. A bronze plaque was placed at his grave by the Loyalty Chapter DAR. Ennemond Meuillon was also known as Emmimond Meullion. He was Physician. He was born in 1737 at Dauphiny, France. He was the son of Ennemond Meuillon and Claudine Barral. Ennemond Meuillon was Spanish commandant of the Port of Rapides (later Pineville?). He from france provincial governor of "this country" (Louisiana?) under the first Napoleon post commandant of Rapides and Avoyelles before and after the Purchase. He lived circa 1770 at Louisiana. He married Anne Stephen, daughter of Jean Stephen and Anne Francoise Roland, on 3 September 1773 at Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. Ennemond Meuillon married Jeannette Poiret, daughter of Andre Claude Baptiste Poiret and Francoise Le Kintreck, in 1780. Ennemond Meuillon and Jeannette Poiret lived after 1780 at Rapides Parish, Louisiana; "Soon after his second marriage [to Jeannette Poiret] Ennemond Meullion settled in Rapides and here his children were born." Ennemond Meuillon died in 1820. He was buried in 1820 at Rapides Parish, Louisiana. Ennemond Meuillon was at an unknown age as of 1820; 83 years 11 days. He He was a French surgeon of noble birth who came to Louisiana about 1770. Although at that time a Spanish province, he soon became prominent in its political affairs. Ennemond Meuillon was at an unknown age ; Aged 83 years and 11 days on his tombstone.

Collection includes slave bills of sale, land sales, and other financial records; manumission papers for Maria Juana and her son Baptiste Meuillon; and an amnesty oath taken in 1865 by Miss Belazaire Meuillon.
