I've been trying to break down a few brick walls I'm facing in my own research. Sometimes it helps if you can take a break from researching your own family and hone your skills searching for other families.

I came across the records in the Afro-Louisiana database at Ancestry and noticed that they named the parents of more than one generation and I thought I might be able to piece together a family tree for them by combining the information in the database, with the New Orleans birth, death, and marriages indexes, and the census.
