Do you know if your Richardsons stayed in VA or moved to NC? I have a Richardson in my direct line also. He was free but according to the tribe he was Indian and fought in the revolutionary war. My aunt on this side of the family told me that one part of the tribe Occannechi came from VA but I don't remember where in VA and the other side Haliwa came from NC.

If there is a chance this is also your line, I will 'dig' for what I have-including his pension (from the revolutionary war) record.
