Swepston of VA: GG-grandparents Stephen & Sally Swepston were my gg-grandparents. Stephen abt: May1815, death after 1900. Sally (given unk) of MD, abt: 183, death after 1880. Stephen & his family migrated to Dresden/Sedalia Pettis Co. Missouri. Stephen & Sally had 5 children. Their son Perry Swepston abt: migrated to Indian Territory, Tahlequah OK where he married Jane Elizabeth Vann (Cherokee Freedmen). These were my g-grandparents. Stephen Swepston may have been the slave of Thomas Swepston, abt: 1801 who migrated to Callaway Missouri. He's shown on the 1850 census.
