Denise, I have the book Joyce is referring to written by Mrs. Ernestine Lucas, my beloved mentor, who passed away last year. The title "From Paris to Springfield The Slave Connection Bayse-Basey". The Basey's were FPOC's who settled in the Springfield, Ohio during the 1850's. Plenty of documentation on this family in this area of Ohio.
