Oliver-Henry of Mississippi

I am needing help with finding an individual and also finding out WHO he was.
I was able to obtain my ggandfather's marriage licenses. I was searching for one but was surpised when I received two for the same person.
He was first married in Quitman County, Marks Ms to Cora Medcalf who was from Tallahacthie (check my spelling here). Cora was about two years older than him. As I was looking at the 1888 record trying to find any clues to where in Ms he was born, it dawned on me that another person was listed on the record. His name was Mike Henry. At first I thought he was the landowner, exslavemaster, bondsman or whatever that had to give permission for them to get married. So I went to the familysearch website and looked him up.
I was floored when a marriage record popped up for him too. Just two years earlier he had married a Mrs. Mary Oliver!!!
Was he Calvin's stepfather? All the other census that I have looked at under that name listed Mike or Michael Henry as white. I don't find Mary or Mike on any census records and all the Mary Olivers I find in Ms are either white or too young to be Calvin's mother so maybe Mary Oliver was his sister?
Unfortunately the marriage records give no information on either of their ages or names of the parents of the bride or grooms.
