Wouldn't it be nice if all the old newspapers were digitized? But not quite yet. It's very labor intensive and slow. In another 20 years -- a lot more will be available.

The African American newspapers that are digitized, that I know of, are listed at Accessible Archives. Most university and college libraries would have access to this. I looked locally and see that Ind. Univ. in Bloomington has the paper on MF too.
