I have Ruffin's in my ancestors but they are all from Orange
County NC. I have trace my Ruffin's back to a Jesse Ruffin
born in 1806 in Hillsboro NC. He married a Rebecca Norwood born
1808 in the same town. Jesse Ruffin was a slave on Thomas
Ruffin Plantation in Hillsboro. Rebecca Norwood was slave on John
Norwood Plantation in Hillsboro NC.
