I have recently found out that the first wife of my greatgreatgrandfather, Austin Charity was Isabella Ruffin, b 1839. I have located the couple in the 1860 cenus and found her with her family in the 1850 census. The problem is that 3 or 4 generations were enumerated in the same household with Isabella in 1850. Jane Cross was listed as head of the household with Robert Ruffin and Isabella living with her. Also listed were Jane's or Robert's mother and another child. I was wondering if anyone might have information on the Ruffin family so that I can determine who the parent or parents of Isabella was/were. Thanks.
