AAGGMV Member Art Thomas and his cousin Reita Ann Bynum Smith, Columbus, Ohio, have been cited in the Ohio Genealogical Society's Quarterly Journal (Dec 2005) for having successfully documented the presence of their (OUR) ancestors as being residents of what is now the State of Ohio prior to December 1820.

Those ancestors are:

Candis LaForce (1780)
Rachel LaForce (1780)
Lewis Adams (1816)
Susan (Reid) Adams (1816)
William Adams (1818)

Rachel and Candis are the mother and grandmother of Susan (Reid) Adams. Susan is the wife of Lewis Adams and the mother of William Adams. They were recorded as being in what has become the Champaign/Logan county areas of Ohio during the years indicated.

Reita Ann was also cited cited for her submission which required no additional documantation.
