I have been blessed to be a desendant of both the Free Moores and Kee/Keys of NC. I have found William Kees married to Vicey Moore Kees in Craven County on December 29, 1845 (marriage bond). Based on the 1860 Census Records they were probably born around 1821. The only reference I have found that is close to William Kees is mention in Paul Heinegg book. I need help finding this family. He married a second wife named Hattie. All of his children are as follows: William, Laura, Charles, Caroline, Issac, Sally, Emeline, and Martha.
