Is anyone related to a Elijah Harris Griffin of Pasquotank County, N.C. I have reason to believe that he was a Free Person of Color. I know that he was a Mulatto, but I haven't been able to identify his parents. I did a search in the 1850 and 1860 Census for an Elijah Griffin. In 1850 I only found one and he was two years younger than what I have for his established date of birth. Could anyone lend some advice.
