Re: FPOC's Longtown, OH Settlement
In Response To: Re: FPOC's Longtown, OH Settlement ()
Appreciate the information! Thank You! Unfortunately Mordechi as the father is more of an assumption or speculation rather then concrete. Another researcher had provided me the possible Mordechi connection due to Lewis A's marriage in Guilford county and Mordecai's residency there in Guilford. Again- only speculation. Lewis A. & Wife Polly migrated with the Banks family to Cowley county, Kansas in the late 1870's. Banks family that migrated came from LaPorte IN (however Im now looking for relations of these Banks in OH) The James Bass that I am looking for (as a possible borther to Lewis A.) was married at one point to a Melinda Banks. Melinda Banks-Bass has a close connection to Lewis A. and trying to determine if the relation was as brother/sister in-law. Im thinking James Bass died between 1860-1870? One thing to note, Stella Bass, that you have below, was married to a Banks (not a Burk). She married George Washington Banks in KS (George's father was Anderson Banks b.1838 Indiana and Anderson was the son of Nathaniel Banks Born 1812 in VA). Stella resided with her husband in Arkansas City, KS until her death in 1938. Their children: Arthur Leroy-died as a young boy during 1906 in a terrible accident to which the family sued the Railroad)
