Don't have a clue how Solomon gained his freedom or when. Unfortunately those 17 other people listed on the 1830 censes don't have names, and tax records for that era are "spotty" at best.

I'm starting to investigate other Davis folk in the county, black and white. Unfortunately I've just about exhausted the local historical centers. I've given then and the local library a book of about 225 pages of all the research I've found so far. This way no one else will have to go back over ground I've already covered.

My greatest hope is that another descendant is looking for the same info and has a different perspective than mine.
