Hello to all participants of the FPOC forum. I was reviewing the posted responses on fpoc and found the information invaluable. The informants' backgrounds and levels of experience in genealogy and family history research made the post viewing a delight to a newcomer such as myself. My gggrandfather John Artis was born free in 1805 in VA and is descended from the very large AA Artis family that was free in Southampton VA in the 1700's.
