Looks like you know the true meaning of 'difficult', when describing AA Genealogy. :-))

Do you know how & when the Davis' become FPOC's? It appears Solomon may have been free in the 1790's, or very early 1800's. Rev. War activity by a parent or slave owner? Could they have come from a nearby State, one of the States that had 'gradual' manumission? Is Solomon related to the Davis' in the surrounding counties? Just some quick thoughts.

It may be neccesary to widen your search to all Davis' (B&W) area-wide, at keast Statewide.
