I assumed James left everything to his wife Elizabeth and that's how she willed the land and the 6 slaves to her son John. But I'll look into that. The deed I found the names of the family who sold the land to Eldridge I believe is Gee or Lee I can't read it that good, the names are Sarah widow of Geo or Leo , Savannah McClore (former GEE oR Lee) and her husband Emma Burr(former Gee or Lee) and her husband.
