Hi,

I am looking for information on my family. I know that my ancestor John Wright Sasser was free as of 1840. He migrated from N.C. to Texas around this time. He was included along with his family in the 1850 census in Texas.

I am trying to find his connections in North Carolina. I do believe his was born in Wayne County. Can you also help me aquire more information on Free Negro Registers (N.C. & Texas)?
