Marie Donato(dau. of Francois Donatoand Olympie)

Hi, my name is Rodney Sam. I am researching my Donato ancestors.
I am a direct descendent of Donato Bello and Marie Jeanne Taillefer through Catherine Victoire Donato who married Baptiste Guillory.
I also have a possible line of descent through Martin Donato through one of his slaves. Martin Donato's succession in 1847 freed six slaves. Some of them were my relatives.
Marie Jeanne(my g-g grandmother), her mother ,Olympie, her aunt, Meurice(Olympie's twin). Also years earlier, Marie Jeanne had an older brother named, Sabin, who was freed by Martin Donato at his birth. A later document states that the mother of Sabin, was Martin's slave, Celeste, who was a former slave he purchased from his son, Francois Donato, who died in 1837.
In the book, "Creoles of the Bayou Country", the author mentions this succession that freed my relatives. The author could figure out the paternity of the children. He believes the father of the chidren were free Donatos. That is a possibility. If he found out the descendents of Olympie(me) it would be easier.
Later, my ancestor., Marie Jeanne Donato married Leonard LaChapelle(son of Theophile LaChapelle and Julie Birotte(descendent of Jean-Baptiste Guillory and Victoire Donato). Marie listes her parents has being FRANCOIS DONATO and OLYMPIE DONATO.
I believe that Francois is a son of Martin Donato. My cousin concluded that Francois Donato must be Francois Auguste Donato. But the record says Francois Donato. And as far as I know, he didnt have any male slaves named Francois. So its a good possibility that Francois Donato was the father of Marie Jeanne Donato, the freed mulatto slave.
Any advice or information would be helpful to me in confirming this info.
