Today I did a soundex search of the 1800 Ancestry census and found the HILL family living as Free People Of Color.

I was lucky enough to get my gg grand father's Death Certificate from Maryland. The first and last name of Mother/Father were clear as a bell.

Seems like I did a page by page search before but now the images seem so much better. I could read 99% of the names.
