Lamberts-Prince Willam Co before 1830

I'm trying to locate the Lambert's before 1830. I found the family mother-Mary/Polly, son-John, dau-Artemesia & dau-Caroline. There may have been another dau-Amanda who registered in Fauquier Co in the 1830's.

I found the family enumerated as white in 1830 under Polly Lambert in PWC. I've tracked members of the family in PWC & Fauquier counties from 1830-1930. I'm trying to figure out who freed the Lambert's and where they came from. Polly was the first Person in PWC with the surname Lambert. I haven't been able to find any fpoc with the last name Lambert before 1830. Also, I could not find any members of the family in 1840. I thought Mary/Polly had died before 1870 couldn't locate her in the census, one of the librarians in Manassas, Va was helping me. He told me he thought Mary/Polly was listed in the household of Thomas Lathan in PWC 1870.

She's listed as Aggie 85 yrs old. Her 13 year old granddaughter is living there with her. I have no idea why her name is showing as Aggie, there are no death records for her.

Where might I look to find information on this family before 1830?
When Amanda registered in Fauquier she said she was born free, which would make the family free at least back to 1818.
