Re: Revolutionary War and Other Questions
In Response To: Re: Revolutionary War and Other Questions ()
Hello again Quao,
My grandfather, Silas West b. 1832 married Winifred "Winnie" Barefoot West b. 1845. Winnie's mother was Clarky Barefoot who had at lease 4 children 1 white child and 3 mulatto daughters. This brings us to the connection to the white Barefoots. GO To Google.com
I am also researching the West Family. There are Willis West that was in the Rev.War. but I have not connected directly to them. But the brick wall is falling down. We believe that Silas West's father was Lloyd West or Nancy West was his mother, need documents. But his father was Ransome West, Wilie West was his grandfather. He is connected to that family in some way. If anyone has any information on this family please let me know. I have the Heritage of Sampson County, NC. These names are in the book including a Silas West. But nothing more about him in the book. Thanks.
